Rexel S.A. (ENXTPA:RXL) entered into an agreement to acquire Genuine Cable Group, LLC from Audax Management Company, LLC for an enterprise value of approximately $1.4 billion on September 25, 2026. Rexel plans to finance GCG through a mix of existing cash on hand, and debt for €800 million ($911.68 million). The Group also intends to raise up to €500 million ($569.8 million) equity through an accelerated bookbuilding offering subject to market conditions.
The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals, acquirer board and closing conditions. The expected completion of the transaction is by 2026 year-end.Rexel’s Board of Directors has unanimously approved the acquisition of GCG. The transaction is immediately accretive to adjusted earnings and to Rexel’s EBITA margin, with substantial additional value creation potential from synergies and commercial expansion. The transaction respects all financial M&A criteria, including EPS accretion in year 1 and value creation by year 3.

Saint-Gobain announced that Annica Hagen has been appointed Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO) and member of the Group Executive Committee, effective September 1, 2026. In this newly created role, Annica Hagen will lead the Group's AI ambitions in support of the strategic objectives of 'Lead & Grow'.
